"The purpose of a replay is to highlight the best fights the player has had and to enjoy reverberations of the play. So, play hard and good luck." -Yoshihito Yano
#Tekken tag movie
You'll be able to watch the movie toward the end of the game. "I wrote this one so that the movie has a feeling of speed. The chorus that starts from the intro is the voice of my colleague Misumi." - Keiichi Okabe "This was written by Yu, and I arrange it, but mine doesn't sound like the original at all. I'm getting to like FM, too." - Nobuyoshi Sano The chord that comes at the 3rd and 4th upbeat is from the Yamaha V50. "I came up with the ascending phrase when I was enchanted playing with the Korg Z1 arpeggiator. I let the rhythm shuffle and it gave an unexpected groove to the tune. It's "Humanoid." Like it or not, it repeats "humanoid, humanoid". However, is this music good for Tekken background music?" - Keiichi Okabe "In the past few years I have only been writing beat music, so I wanted to do a more melodic piece. I wanted to repeat this part more but the limited memory didn't allow me. "I like the second half part where the bass drops off and the rhythm and the sequencer go on. Mute always feels good." - Nobuyoshi Sano The sustain-less pad in the middle is from a JP 8000. "A bell is the only sound that gives an impression of school. It's "Unidentified Flying Object." Not to mention that I paid respect to that famous tune as I wrote this." - Yū Miyake I thought it wouldn't be very difficult, but in fact I felt like I used more than double the energy for this piece than I usually do." - Keiichi Okabe "I wanted to try something new, so I used live strings. The Tekken Tag Tournament already contains a lot of mellow tunes, after all." - Akitaka Tohyama The tune is supposed to be more exciting for its purpose, but I thought it might sound good if I did something different. I recommend that everyone should use a lesser number of sounds." - Nobuyoshi Sano And this one has the least number of sounds amongst them. "This is the 7th theme of Yoshimitsu, following PS version Tekken 2, Tekken 2 Remixed CD, Tekken 3, Tekken 3 Remixed CD, PS version of Tekken 3 and Tekken Tag Tournament. Unfortunately, I let the fish pass away because I was too busy to take care of them while I was working on this Tekken Tag Tournament project. I like Brazil and I even had Brazilian tropical fish as a pet. I don't have much attachment to it though." - Keiichi Okabe That's the kind of feeling I wanted to give to the tune. "This tune mainly consists of rhythm instruments. I got tired of the tactic of leaving the original arrangement as it is." - Akitaka Tohyama

"This tune hasn't be changed at all either. I love the zap sound spread out between the left and right channels, and I can't help using it repeatedly." - Nobuyoshi Sano Any sound with simple sound wave shapes sounds good. "The use of this type of bass is Sano's trend lately.
#Tekken tag ps2
For this PS2 version of Tekken Tag Tournament, I couldn't put the arcade version due to the insufficient memory anyway, so I didn't think I should rearrange the tune at all." - Akitaka Tohyama "This hasn't changed much from the arcade version.

It might have a lesser sound quality than other tracks, and I beg your pardon of it." - Yū Miyake

"This one might be redundant, but I am proud that this was used on TV commercial. I didn't think about anything but finishing it on time, and I did it." - Keiichi Okabe

"I was asked to write music for the PS2 Version of the Tekken Tag Tournament for the '99 Tokyo Game Show three days before the show, and I came up with this tune. By the way, for the vocoder in the midsection, I recorded my own voice." -Akitaka Tohyama I had a hard time with this one because I had to change the music once the picture changed. "I started this project with this music but I finished it last. There is also short commentary given to each track on the album by the composers.
